Take 25 photos a second, you have film.
Film is where the passion began, as children we had our imaginations taken to the new levels by the art and creativity of dedicated story tellers. Now, as adults, we endeavour to extend that to audio artists so that they can add another element to their already emotive work.
Audiences are giving you the opportunity to expose their conscious to 29 images a second, coupled with with audible stimulation and you have the power to invoke an experience that is alien to the viewer, this is the escapism of cinema, why not have the same attitude for a music video?
There are no ego’s at the Deaf Institute, we are not for profit and that allows us to have the freedom to create something truely suited to the artist without external distractions, commerical controls will fall on deaf ears.
“When forced to work within a strict framework the imagination is taxed to its utmost – and will produce its richest ideas. Given total freedom the work is likely to sprawl.” TS Eliot
